The Norfolk & Waveney Expansion COMING SUMMER 2025

Initially Lung Cancer Screening has been rolling out in small pilot areas.  In Norfolk & Waveney there are projects which cover the communities with higher incidences and later diagnoses of lung cancer which are in and around Great Yarmouth & Gorleston and Lowestoft areas.  If you live in one of these areas please have a look at the relevant page for more local information.

From Summer 2025, the Lung Cancer Screening programme will start to roll out across the rest of Norfolk and Waveney.  The initial target areas will be Kings Lynn and surrounding areas and Central Norwich, but all areas will be reached over the next 3 – 4 years. 

For the expansion, Norfolk & Waveney have partnered with an organisation called TIC Mobile who will be delivering the service on behalf of individuals in the area. 

You will be contacted by the TIC Mobile on behalf of the NHS if you're eligible for a lung health check. Please wait until you are invited by the Lung Health Check Team. The invitation will be based on your smoking history in your GP record so if you think this might be out of date, please let your GP know and they can update your record.
